We offer a solar panel package for hot water heating which allows the consumer to take advantage of renewable and sustainable energy. FK240 Solar Panels harness the power in both direct and diffuse sunlight and convert the energy to heat for the production of hot water for the home. The solar panels have been designed as a complement to existing heating systems which use a store of hot water in a cylinder. The existing cylinder is exchanged for a cylinder with two heat exchanger coils; one from the boiler in the property and a second from the solar panels.
The FK240 Solar Panels are an ideal partner to the new range of condensing regular and system boilers, with different models available in both oil and gas, which require a separate cylinder for the storage of hot water. When used together a boiler with solar system provides a highly efficient system to give heating and hot water comfort.
A typical well sized solar system should provide around 50% of the domestic hot water requirements of a home, representing a very worthwhile saving on hot water heating costs. The remaining hot water requirement is provided by the boiler. Worcester solar panels are now available in two different orientations and in standard (FKC) and high performance (FKT) versions.
The Worcester Bosch Greenskies FKC Solar Panel system is the traditional, standard system used for Solar Energy.
As shown in the image to the right, the panel uses vertical Header Piping inside the panel. Although extremely effective, the piping doesnt cover as much surface area as the FKT pipe, therefore only has limited impact from the suns rays.
This system can be used in a variety of ways, Standard On Roof, Standard In Roof, Standard Flat Roof and Standard Wall Mounted installations, as shown below:

The Worcester Bosch Greenskies FKT Solar Panel range is the latest development from Worcester Bosch, it is a step up from the FKC range and gives a much higher performance.
The FKT panel is much more effective as it uses horizontal Double Meandor Collector pipeworkand covers more of the surface area. This allows it to collect more of the suns rays.
These can be used in the same ways as the FKC range, Standard On Roof, Standard In Roof, Standard Flat Roof and Standard Wall Mounted installations, see the images below:

The Aurora Collector has the same durable aluminium frame, but with a high quality silver anodised finish, for a more contemporary look. These two options ensure maximum architectural design flexibility.
Our evacuated tube collectors are manufactured using specially toughened glass and a special high selective absorber coating. They are delivered pre-assembled with either 8 or 16 tubes and are compact and lightweight for ease of installation.
The tubes have the benefit of a 10 year warranty against defects in manufacture. Panels can be simply pushed together and up to a total of 12 panels can be connected in series providing a neat and attractive installation.
Total siting flexibility is provided by an extensive range of mounting accessories, suitable for pitched or flat roofs and wall fixing. The auroTHERM exclusive collectors are fully tested and approved to EN 12975.
Our swimming pool heat exchangers are manufactured with corrosion resistant cupro-nickel tubes and bronze end covers and are therefore suitable for use with chlorine water, seawater or therapeutic and spa pools. Our heat exchangers will normally well outlast stainless steel ones. Our units are very easy to maintain as both the end covers and tube stack can be removed easily for cleaning, this is unique to our design.
Our heat exchangers can be used where the swimming pool water is heated by a boiler or by solar panels.
Our swimming pool heat exchangers can also be used to cool swimming pools in hot climates. Water from a chiller passes over the heat exchanger tubes instead of boiler water or water from a solar panel which is used when heating swimming pools. Please contact us for further information about using our heat exchangers for cooling pools
* Any of the above can be used for Swimming Pools in conjunction with heat Exchangers.
